SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Proving assistance so all individuals
can enjoy Park District programs
Through fundraising efforts throughout the year, the Park Ridge Friends of the Parks provides funding to support the scholarship program at the Park Ridge Park District. The scholarship program provides low income individuals and families assistance so they can participate in Park District programs such as Preschool, Beyond the Bell, Camp, and swim lessons. From just four individuals in 2011 to 45 in 2019, the need continues to grow. The Friends of the Parks supported the scholarship program with $6,205 in 2019. 2020 saw a dip in those supported due to the restrictions in participation caused by the COVID pandemic. In 2021, we started to see the need grow once again, supporting 23 individuals for a total of $3,414. In 2022, 34 individuals were supported for a total of $4,543. In 2023, 39 individuals were supported for a total of $4,892.
Park Ridge Park District residents may apply for assistance.
